Latino families typically don’t know the phrase “family caregiver,” and they certainly don’t know AARP has information that can help them care for aging, sick or disabled family members. So, AARP IL Associate State Director Alvaro Obregon partnered with local organizations to host a Spanish-language conference for caregivers in 2018, and it has grown into a very popular annual event, helping Chicagoans with resources in-language and connecting them to one another.
