When Gary Sinise accepted the role of Lieutenant Dan in the award-winning film “Forrest Gump”, he had no way of predicting the impact it would have on his life. Through his advocacy work with veterans, Gary found that many service members connected with the story of Lieutenant Dan, and how he was able to heal his trauma and return to civilian life. Today, Gary continues his mission to serve and honor America’s veterans and first responders through the Gary Sinise Foundation.
