Walk With A Doc program began in 2022 as part of a pilot partnership to reach African-American audiences in 6 markets with healthy activities and messages. AARP NC volunteers Helen Mack and Harriett Miller partnered with the Twin Medical Society to implement this program, where walkers gather at a local park (or mall in inclement weather) on the second Saturday of each month for a free walk and talk with community doctors.
